If you want to visit Paris without giving up the peace and quiet of a camping vacation, then La Belle Étoile Campground in Melun is the perfect choice for you. Located on the banks of the Seine, on the edge of the Fontainebleau Forest, this peaceful and lush campground offers a natural haven just 30 minutes by train from downtown Paris (the train station is a 20-minute walk from the campground). With its heated indoor pool and grassy, partially shaded campsites, La Belle Étoile Campground is the perfect spot for families returning from trips to Paris, Vaux-le-Vicomte, or Disneyland.

The pool at La Belle Etoile Campground is sure to delight guests of all ages. Children will love the fun wading pool, while parents can relax on the spa bench with its massage jets. Campers staying at the campground in early spring starting in May or at the end of the season through mid-September can enjoy the heated pool. During the summer, the pool cover remains closed, but the gables open to allow for a breeze while swimming on hot summer afternoons. The roof of the cover also provides protection from UV rays and heat. When you return from your visits to Paris, Fontainebleau, Disneyland, or Vaux-le-Vicomte, the whole family can come cool off for a while in the pool. This is one of the advantages of choosing the campground for your next vacation in Paris.

At La Belle Étoile campground, you can eat at the snack bar. In addition to the usual burgers, fries, and pizza, the menu features some delicious local specialties made with Brie de Melun, such as a Brie de Melun pizza, the M’lun Burger, or pasta with a Brie sauce. A gourmet vacation in Melun awaits. Especially since you can pair these dishes with a Brie beer brewed just a few miles from the Belle Étoile campground.

Our campground is located on the edge of the Fontainebleau Forest, just a 30-minute train ride from downtown Paris. From the campground, you can visit Paris, its most prestigious museums (the Louvre, the Orsay, etc.), the Eiffel Tower, and Notre-Dame Cathedral. In addition to Paris, the Fontainebleau Forest invites you to enjoy lovely walks, and the châteaux of Fontainebleau and Vaux-le-Vicomte immerse you in the splendor of French history. Children, meanwhile, will love Disneyland, which is easily accessible from the campground. Don’t forget to visit the charming town of Moret-sur-Loing, Barbizon, or the medieval city of Provins. Around Melun and the La Belle Étoile campground, there are dozens of exciting sites to discover with your family! Feel free to ask for advice and information at the front desk.
