The ancient monuments, the narrow streets, the banks of the river and the beatiful light of the region has been the inspiration of the impressionist painter Alfred Sisley for more than 20 years.
The romantic charm has stayed untouched since the 19th century. Every Saturday night from june till september a sound and light show on the banks of the Loing river offers the visitors a poetic and fairytale like view to the town's history.
